I am good at writing and making jokes and cleaning. I would love to pass my days maneuvering a minivan full of foster kids to soccer games and recitals and tutoring.None of these things would be diminished because of my size, yet none of them seem to matter because of my size. However, I've been on a "lifestyle change" for about five years now and recently when I find myself attracted to a guy's personality, then I notice he's fat-in-the-belly, I try to shut the attraction off.I used to generally be drawn to fat men and prefer to date them because I didn't want to date anyone who was smaller than me or had a much fitter body than me; it was a total attraction killer. There's a pretty popular thread going on about whether men are attracted to fat women. This is written in a pretty heteronormative manner, which I apologize for, but the experiences I’m most familiar with are men trying to chase women here. Mentioning this first because it’s SUPER important, and it’s the first thing guys tend to mess up on.
If you are a plus size or fat person, you know how difficult it is to date.
Tinder is notorious for its users fat shaming, and this video shows how people react to their real-life dates being bigger than what they expected. It was that video that inspired Woo Plus, an app exclusively for the plus size dating community.
